The Castle Hotel is delighted to announce that it holds a civil cermony venue license and has a capacity to seat up to 140 of your family and close friends for your ceremony.

We have catered for numerous civil ceremonies in the past 3 years and we offer the choice of two beautiful venues for civil ceremonies. The Ardilaun Suite can host a civil wedding ceremony for larger wedding numbers and smaller more intimate gatherings take place in our Residents Lounge, with rich velvet decor, original fire-place and views of the old world market town of Macroom. 

Our Civil Ceremony package includes beautiful room decor including chair covers & coordinating bows, and beautiful candle arrangements. You and your guests may then dine either in B's Private & Intimate Dinning Suite or The Ardilaun Suite.

Commitment Ceremonies & Same Sex Blessings  
It is also possible to host an informal wedding blessing or a commitment ceremony for Gay couples.  The wedding couple must apply for approval to the Health Service Executive Civil Registration office, Adelaide Court, Adelaide Street, Cork. A member of the HSE registration office will meet you as a couple to review your application. Once satisfied that the hotel and the wedding couple meet the Civil Partnership requirements, approval is then granted. Alternatively some Gay couples choose to have an informal blessing or commitment ceremony which we can again host in one of our designated rooms.
